KIND FROZEN Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt Creamy Frozen Dessert

Every time I’m in Mammoth Lakes I make a point to go to Grocery Outlet to see if they have any good vegan ice creams. Sometimes there is none, and other times there’s a bunch. Today there were a lot to chose from but I could only pick one and I decided on one I had never tried before.

Kind Frozen Creamy Dessert
KIND FROZEN states on their site their pints are creamy, plant-based frozen desserts blended with ingredients like nuts, fruits, and dark chocolate, made with real ingredients you know.

Even though there’s clearly a photo of an ice cream scoop on the lid, I don’t know why I was expecting the ice cream/creamy frozen dessert to actually be chocolate.

Texture was good, as creamy as expected with a description like “Creamy Frozen Dessert” and you get plenty of crunchy almond and chocolate bits in every bite.

For the flavor, I want more chocolate and less almond, and way less sweet. It’s now an hour later, and I can still taste the sweetness in my mouth.

Ingredients you can see and pronounce

The ingredient list was pretty solid, but I hate when companies list “Natural Flavors” as an ingredient. I want to start a petition to force companies to write out what actually are in their natural flavors.

KIND overall seems pretty transparent, and according to their Impact Report 2020, they strive to be kinder to our planet.

I bought this pint at Grocery Outlet for a smashing $1.99, excellent price! You should be able to find KIND FROZEN pints in major retailers across the US, including Wal-Mart, Kroger, CVS and Rite-Aid, it will probably be more expensive at a regular price.
